I am obsessed with the Minnesota State Fair, and I was so excited to attend for a second year! This year was filled with even more fun and more food, too! The Minnesota State Fair 2022 runs through September 5.

CINNAMON ROLLS
These were some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. The ratio of dough to cinnamon sugar filling is crucial for a good cinnamon roll, and CinnieSmiths NAILED IT!!
The minis were the perfect size for each of us to have a substantial taste. Absolutely worth getting this for breakfast if you get to the fair early and are not quite ready to dive into the heavy stuff!
Blended Cappuccino
PRO TIP: the blended cappuccino pairs perfectly with the cinnamon rolls! It totally reminded me of Aroma coffee from Birthright. I’m sure that was the inspiration behind this frozen drink, right? Ha
Cheese Curd Tacos
Fried tacos are a power move. However, I’m not a huge fan of bratwurst. Also, I believe that 99% of the food you eat at the state fair should be the same shade of fried brown, so I’m not sure what lettuce is doing in that taco!?
I will say the cheese curds slapped and the ranch dressing was pretty good, too.
My main takeaway here is that restaurants should be frying tortillas better. It’s for the greater good of tacos!
Fried Cookie Dough on a Stick
This cookie dough absolutely slapped.
Last year, we got fried cookie dough from a different stand, and it was honestly a miss compared to the fried cookie dough we got this year. The stand we went to last year served the dough in wonton wrap. It obviously was not the worst thing ever but when it’s compared to the dough we got this year… OMG!!
The fried cookie dough we got at this particular stand fried the dough in a pancake-like batter and it was INCREDIBLE! It’s the kind of dessert that will turn anyone into a “dessert person.” If you don’t like it, I’ll take the remaining dough off your hands.
Cheese Curds
I love cheese curds, so this was an easy sell for me. I didn’t try the jalapeño curds, but the original, ranch and garlic cheese curds were all grand slams for me.
Don’t bother getting the ranch… It wasn’t the ranch these curds deserve.
GIGGLES’ S’MORES BEER
Does it actually taste like s’mores? No! The rim of the cup has graham crackers and some sort of chocolate-y substance that is supposedly just chocolate but I don’t think it was chocolate… Either way, I actually still really liked this beer and would totally get it again in the future!
Sweet Martha’s Cookie Jar

Sweet Martha’s Cookie Jar is the highlight of my life and the cause of my obsession with the Minnesota State Fair in the first place!!
Am I jealous of Martha? Absolutely. She makes millions of dollars in just 12 days at the Minnesota State Fair with CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. Seriously, why didn’t I think of that?
Anyways, people throw a lot of shade at me for not bringing them cookies but, like most cookies, they are best served warm straight off the baking sheet.
I am already excited for my Sweet Martha’s next year!!!
