My not-so-hidden talent is finding the best food everywhere I go. Here is the official rundown of all best restaurants in London that I tried during my most recent trip across the pond.
Be sure to tag me in places you’ve tried when you create your own London food tour!
BEIGEL BAKE
I’ve eaten my fair share of bagels in my day, and Beigel Bake has some of the best. You will probably have to wait in line, but these bagels are absolutely worth the wait. It’s open 24/7, so you can literally go to Beigel Bake at any time!
BLOOMSBURY TAVERN
With traditional pub fare, Bloomsbury Tavern is the place to catch a game while enjoying Fish & Chips, Steak and Ale Pies, and more!
This is also a great spot if you are seeing a Broadway show and want to be slightly off the beaten path from the pre-theater show crowds.
BOROUGH MARKET
You can’t visit London and not check out Borough Market. With 100 food stalls, Borough Market is every foodie’s dream.
The Cadogan Arms is a great pub in Chelsea. The interior is really pretty, and the food was so good.
I would go out of my way to eat at this pub when I return to London in the future. Pictured here is the Beef & Guinness Pie, and I loved every bite!
DIN TAI FUNG
What a place! Din Tai Fung is an international phenomenon, and I was so excited to eat here in London. There are a few locations throughout the city, but we ate at the Din Tai Fung in Selfridges.
What did we order? Everything! Just arrive hungry and get ready to eat.
DISHOOM
Dishooom was an incredible experience. My only regret is solo dining because I would have ordered way more food if I was with a few other people who could share with me!
PRO TIP: order the Chilli Broccoli Salad. It is probably the best dish I’ve eaten in a very long time.
Not planning on dining at Dishoom in the near future? They sell a cookbook, so you can recreate these incredible dishes at home.
Everything we ordered was perfect. It is open 24/7, and I would eat here at any hour of the day. From the beverage program to the culinary masterpieces that come out of the kitchen, everything was ten-out-of-ten fantastic.
HONEY & CO.
This was the best meal I ate in London. Honey & Co. is Middle Eastern cuisine that was out of this world. Pictured here is the chicken thighs in sweet garlic marinade, roasted apricot, almond and apricot pilaf. It was fresh and flavorful. The white chocolate tahini babka was a recipe I need to try recreating at home. I was blown away by how much I loved this place and would absolutely dine here in the future.
MY OLD DUTCH
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. No good day starts with a salad!
At My Old Dutch, there is a full menu of both sweet and savory pancakes. You really can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I went with the Apple & Cinnamon pancake with cream. Yum!
If we’re being honest here, I was really skeptical of dining at sketch, but I knew it had to be done. It struck me as an Instagram trap where people would just go to take pictures of the bathroom and pink dining room.
First, let’s talk about the Yoga Glow (almond milk, coffee, dates, pink Himalayan salt, vanilla pod). I am not a huge fan of pressed juices, but I LOVED this drink. WOW.
I ordered and enjoyed the Scrambled Eggs (feta cheese, fried mushrooms, sour dough and preserves). The hash brown potato was also delicious!
YORKSHIRE BURRITO
Yorkshire Burrito was another social media discovery that exceeds the hype! I went to the location at Camden Market, and I was blown away. It is absolutely worth any line you may have to wait in for this sandwich!
A really good list.
